Hunger Busters’ mission is to provide a much-needed third meal of the day to food-insecure children.
Over 137,000 (87%) of the children attending Dallas schools rely on school-subsidized breakfast and/or lunch as their only resource for food. All too often, these children go without dinner. Many of them have nothing to eat from school lunch one day until school breakfast the next.
Hunger Busters “Feed the Need” after school program provides an evening meal to many of these hungry kids throughout the year. With the help of committed volunteers, continuing and new partners and donors, Hunger Busters will take a big bite out of Dallas’ childhood hunger epidemic.
